Windows 10 and Act!
The last few weeks, every morning I sit down with my coffee, log into my computer and there is that cute little “toast” offering to give me Windows 10. I mean, they have cute babies in their ads. Who can resist a cute baby with it’s face smooshed on a window. (Or in this case, is it a Window?)
For our Act! users, the question is, “Should I? Can I? Please can I click that cute little notice? It’s free. . . ” Just hang on there our quick-to-click little friends. There are a few things you should know.
- Nothing older than Act! v17 – we do not recommend upgrading to Windows 10 if your Act! version is older than the current version, Act! v17. Act! v17 is the only version supported on Windows 10, which means, if we can’t fix it, Act! won’t support it.
- Backup before you click – don’t do anything without backing up your Act! database (and other data for that matter).
- Read before you click – Check out the Knowledge Base articles before you upgrade.
