Act! v16 – New look, new energy, new features

SmallActv16Freshly sharpened pencils, a new box of Crayola crayons, marble composition notebooks, and crunchy leaves – those are a few things I think about when I think fall.  That and that a new version of Act! is coming.  This year it’s even more exciting, because Act! has a new parent company, Swiftpage, a new look and a whole new energy.

 

The new features in the upcoming version – Act! v16 – are mainly Act! user inspired.  Many in the list are things you, our Act! fanatics, have requested.

 

Here are some of the new features coming:

 

    • Microsoft® Office 2013 compatibility
    • History List – think “Task List” view here, but for your Act! Histories.  Sort by date, contact, type, etc.  Filter by user.  And, export to Excel.
    • Scheduled E-mail – with the enhanced v16 Smart Tasks, you can send e-mails based on date or a custom database task
    • Calculated Fields
    • Automated Company Management – Act! v16 automates account management and can automatically create Companies or link Contacts to companies
    • Reschedule multiple activities – with v16 comes the ability to select multiple Activities and reschedule several at a time
    • Mobile Groups and Companies
    • Tablet View – takes advantage of the landscape resolution on tablet devices.  When a tablet is rotated to landscape view, Act! Mobile displays new, left-hand pane.
    • Google Chrome support
