Act! v16 SP1 – Wait for it. . .

If you are a customer using Act! v16, you may have received notice of the latest Service Pack for Act! v16, or seen info online about the release.  As with any update, always consider what it will affect before you install.  It’s always a good idea to check with us, your trusty Act! Certified Consultants, before making any major changes to your Act! system. (Or if you happened upon us via web search, check with your Act! CC.  Don’t have one, well give us a call then!)

We did recently find a bug in v16 SP1 that we wanted to warn you about BEFORE you update.  There is an issue with e-mail mail merge and Office 2013.  There is a hotfix in the works from the Act! team.  We are just waiting on word that it’s been released.  In the meantime, hold tight on installing SP1.  There are some nice defect fixes and a couple new features in the release, but we want to make sure it’s solid before you install.
